This proposal focuses upon the adjacent lake, capturing the essence of the waterfront itself. The visual connection to the Great Amber Music Hall nearby too is essential, a way to connect with this new symphony building and to the natural park on Zirgu Sala Island.

It can therefore be said that this project acts as an interlude - defined as an episode, feature or period of time - between the Great Amber and the beautiful natural parks in the East.

Furthermore the roof profile extrapolates the contextual nautical planes and is envisaged with a new roof here to reinforce its identity. The use of shiplike features in the formation of the roof structure reflects the history of Liepaja harbour.

The restaurant, night club and the exhibition centre will add value and attractiveness to this part of the Harbour and highlight its cultural importance. The overall positive impact will contribute greatly to Liepaja's identity of as an exciting place to be.
