David Huntly-Grant is a graduate of Architecture at Edinburgh University and Glasgow Art School where he was nominated as the best student of Architecture in Scotland (RIAS winner of Silver medal).


He has had extensive international experience in the development, design and implementation of many different building types in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, United Kingdom and Norway.He has worked in the leading architectural offices such as SOM and BDP and

has designed and implemented a number of different projects  within the residential, office, culture. sports, health, schools and commercial building sectors.


The basis of his design philosophy focuses on architecture and design project development. David is working on projects of different scales and typologies, and understands the importance of both the overall volumes and details in architecture. The Projects are innovative and conceptual in architecture, based on the context and the various functional particularities.


He has had great success with many design competitions with for example, 'The Most Beautiful House in the World competition', Reggio Emilia, Italy (La Casa piú bella del Mondo), (prize winner out of 990 international participants) and 'Imagine Bath' competition UK as 'Highly Commended' and has been part of the winning BDP team  for the Perth 2000 Arts Centre design competition in Great Britain.
He has also participated in numerous exhibitions at the Royal Scottish Academy of Art, Edinburgh and the Royal Academy, London.

 

David now lives and works in Oslo, Norway.
