The Meditation resting place provides a backdrop to the natural forest terrain.

Seeking to capitalize on the beauty of the structure’s splendid surroundings, the design adopted the Japanese design principle of Shakkei, or borrowed view. The intention was to create a resting place resplendent in the “likeness of nature”.

Fully adapted to the natural scenery, this resting place affirms on capturing its splendid views, as the structure was carefully aligned  in order to emphasize the  views of the surrounding area.

A holistic approach was therefore employed in order to achieve ultimate integration between architecture, interior design, and landscaping. Further underlining the overall construction is a simple material palette - reflected in the timber framework and steel 'stork' branches.
