Beach home, Latvia

Conceived as a retreat for one or two people, the building has a minimal footprint providing shelter. The structure is a single storey corten steel beach home; the front side opens up on the ground level to provide a wide terrace to the south.

To the north, dug into the sandy area, a water storage tank is located. The beach metaphor of the roofs can be seen clearly as one walks by on the sandy stretch.

The enclosed timber and glass interior is protected from the elements by the timber prefabricated construction.
