THE VISION

The vision is to give this part of town a dynamic and exciting restaurant in which to eat and to order the nourishments from the roadside. The whole assembly uses compact modular units in order that the restaurant is assembled efficiently. The modular system of building will help to reduce the costs greatly and this method of construction is easily applicable anywhere.

As an option regarding the important issue of sustainability, this restaurant can operate on wind turbine and solar panels and therefore there can always be enough power from its ecological generated systems.

This restaurant is flexible in size with these prefabricated units. The units have all the necessary equipment inside that provide food service for up to 100 persons here.

Inside there are  table arrangements that  provide enough seats for up to 30 visitors and ample space for up to 70 persons who wish to order their take-away meals.

 

OUTLINE OF DESIGN CONSTRUCTION

The construction of these modules utilizes mainly a wooden framework system within the prefabricated unit structure every 600mm. This form of construction ensures that each module is light and economically viable.

The interior is cladded with a plaster while the exterior has either steel or wooden paneling. The basic assembly of the module uses composite sandwich shell-structure that provides high levels of mechanical resistance and thermal insulation.

ENERGY and WATER (optional)

The modules have various cisterns built under the floor that will allow this restaurant to be self-sustaining in relation to power and water supply.

The solar power is collected through the solar panels (located in front of the restaurant).The solar panels will afford enough hot water and the waste from the toilets and the kitchen are then amassed into the septic tanks that can be recycled for use later.

 

FLEXIBLE LAYOUT (PLAN LAYOUT)

One of the advantage of this module system is that this method of construction can easily enlarge itself for later use. The design of the restaurant helps to ensure fast expansion whenever this is required and constructed. The range of possible configurations are largely suited to any further use, depending on the amount of space required at the various locations.

 

This restaurant offers the weary travelers the chance to rest and enjoy the views of the surrounding scenery. The possibilities that comes with these box-like shelter units offer the travelers much needed refuge from the road travelling.
