The design of the platform follows the principle 'volcanic views first, architecture afterwards', taking advantage of the beautiful landscape. The platform reaches out over the rough stony land edges, offering one one of the most
spectacular stage scenes in Turkey and its round platform gives one the heightened illusion of being in the heavens.

Looking beyond, this platform is the extension of one's senses, offering one the presence of the once powerful eruption, a reminder of the power of nature and we are presented with the magnificent historic aftermath once we have reached the top of the stairs.

The use of the stairs are conceived as the build-up, as the ultimate crescendo, that leads up to the viewing platform, upon which the visitor is then rewarded with this awe- inspiring panoramic scenery.
The use of these stairs is comparable to a theatrical play that offers one excitement and a sense of sequence.

The viewing platform will be easy to build, with its aluminium posts and stainless steel edge on top of the tempered glass.
The glazed balustrade curves to form the edge of the platform, offering support and safety to the visitors.
